An interesting, yet half-baked, analysis of right-wing influencers' reach across social media platforms. Diving into viewership statistics of Ben Shapiro, Candice Owens, and the like, The New York Times highlights a stark decrease in viewership across the board. They attribute this to the quiet midterm season, Republicans already being in power (causing less outrage), and a myriad of other reasons. Where this analysis falls short, though, is a comparison of left-wing influencers on how the non-election season is affecting their viewership. This one-sided analysis leaves me with an incomplete picture.
