How we reached this point of critical shortages will be studied endlessly within the defense industry, but the current focus of the Trump Administration is to re-arm, enlisting the help of new silicon valley mindset defense companies. While the efficacy of these new companies has yet to be proven, it's a welcome change compared to the old guard of defense contractors who move slowly and develop even slower.
